As the final piece of my academic journey, I chose to compose something romantic, with a powerful fantasy atmosphere. The title Alvorada comes from the Portuguese word meaning the first light of dawn, just before the sun appears.

The piece is 2 minutes and 16 seconds long, and it is my favorite orchestral work that I have composed.
