ONDES is an invitation to resonate with our environments and to rethink the way we inhabit the world.
Equipped with a VR headset and a vibrating haptic vest, the spectator journeys through landscapes where every sound reveals an invisible language of the living world. Previously unreachable frequencies uncover new vibrations and fantastical truths.
The experience is divided into four distinct environments: Lake, Abyss, Dragonflies, and Mycelium. I was
responsible for the composition and sound design of the Mycelium environment, creating an immersive experience inspired by underground ecosystems and the hidden activity of roots and fungal networks. The artistic direction drew from recorded sounds of trees thawing, subterranean earth movements, and insects beneath the soil. The objective was to make the listener feel as though they were gradually being embraced and absorbed by a growing network of lichen and mycelium over the course of the experience.
